Enabling TLS/SSL in EBS 12.1.x


  1. Enabling TLS in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 (Doc ID 376700.1)
    1. Prereqs:
      1. Step 1 - Upgrade to latest Java Development Kit (JDK) 7.
        1. For JDK 7 upgrade, follow the instructions in My Oracle Support Document 1467892.1, Using JDK 7.0 Latest Update with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.0 and 12.1.
        2. Starting with the January 2017 Java CPU, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 are enabled by default. The specific minimum version is JDK 1.7.0_131.
      2. Step 2 - Upgrade to Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) 10.1.3.5.
        1. To do this, follow the instructions in My Oracle Support Knowledge Document 454811.1, Upgrading to the
        2. Latest OracleAS 10g 10.1.3.x Patch Set in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.
      3. Step 3 - Apply the October 2015 CPU or a later CPU to Oracle Fusion Middleware 10.1.3.5.
        1. Download Patch 21845960 for UNIX or Patch 21845962 for Windows from My Oracle Support and follow the instructions in Document 2051000.1, Oracle E-Business Suite Releases 11i and 12 Critical Patch Update Knowledge Document (October 2015).
      4. Step 4 -- Apply platform-specific updates.

      5. Step 5 - Apply the Oracle Fusion Middleware 10.1.3.5 OpenSSL patches.
        1. In addition to applying the CPU patches listed in Step 3 above, you must also apply one of these combinations of OHS and OPMN patches which contain the required updates for the OpenSSL libraries. Note: Oracle recommends that you apply the latest released patches in the list, which is represented here in the top row.

      6. Step 6 - Apply product-specific patches.
